Bella Vista was born from a simple dream: to bring the warmth, flavor, and spirit of Italian dining to the heart of New York City. When Chef Marco Rossi arrived from Bologna in 2010, he carried with him a lifetime of flavors — his grandmother's Sunday ragù, the perfume of fresh basil in Ligurian markets, the snap of pasta pulled by hand.
Two years later, he opened the doors of Bella Vista on Via Roma. The name means "beautiful view" — and that is exactly what he wanted to offer: a view of Italy as it truly is, not a caricature, but a living, breathing culinary tradition.
Over a decade on, Bella Vista has become a landmark of the New York dining scene. Critically acclaimed, deeply personal, and always evolving, it remains true to its founding promise: exceptional food, made with love, served with care.
